Photo Essay: Why I hate Bush but love Americans

Here in Sweden, the debate rages on about whether it is possible to hate President Bush while loving America given that 50.7 per cent of Americans re-elected him. But when I see images of the brave men, women and children who courageously stand up for the rights of all those whose rights have been trampled under iron boots of Bush's neocon army, my faith in Americans is restored.

Bring 'em on

More than four years have passed since the "commander-guy" uttered those famous words. One million Iraqis and four thousand Americans have perished since then. Bush may have forgotten that he ever said those words, but the brave Americans haven't.

Freedom of expression is just that: an expression

This peaceful antiwar protester was charged in Federal Court with "refusal to obey a lawful order" . His crime: demonstrating against a meaningless war on Pentagon property. But he shouldn't worry too much should he? If the judges hand him a tough jail sentence, the President will declare the punishment to be too harsh, and commute his sentence.

What I learned from BUSH

This little girl is more intelligent than 62,040,610 who voted for Bush second time around. She can tell you nine reason to impeach Bush, but the Democrat Congress seems to be unable to find a single one.

True Patriot

The yearning for peace fills the hearts of the non-PATRIOT Act patriots. There are many Americans who have been through the nightmare that was Vietnam, and who wonder just how, merely a generation later, one man's lies took them into another intractable war. Some go beyond wondering, and act to end this orgy of bloodshed. They are the true patriots.

Signs of Victory

The signs of victory are beginning to appear. Cracks are appearing in the neocon administrations and Republicans are abandoning Bush like the proverbial deserting a sinking ship.

The United States is a democratic nation built on the principles of justice and honesty. It is a pity that some of you decided to elect a leader whose beliefs are the antithesis of what your founding fathers envisioned. But, I believe I speak for billions in the world today when I say that I am heartened to see that the American people have not forgotten those principles, and are willing to risk life and limb to fight against a tyrannical leadership.

Power of Belief

Americans (United Statians) accept as true only those things they believe are true. We are constantly adjusting the information to suit our pre-established ideas. How do you debate with such people??

We don't want to think our elections were corrupted enough to effect the final result, so we don't believe it and come up with numerous excuses to explain how such a thing "couldn't happen in America".
Well, real patriots are willing to listen and consider threats to our system - not putting our heads in the sand. We try to remain skeptical while listening to both Fox Noise AND Greg Palast of the BBC.
The day is coming that United Statians will need an exit visa to leave the country. Will that be a clarion call? or will it be too late?

It's not like the American

It's not like the American popular votes makes any sort of difference in the election process anyway. The president is elected solely via the electoral college - The popular vote is for fun or something, I have no idea.

Keep that in mind when blaming the US populace for electing some sort of retarded, evangelistic, red neck, trigger-happy, 'mercan (that's how Texans say American) into office.

Just wait until we elect Hillary LOL.

The end is nigh.

Well, that "strong leader"

Well, that "strong leader" thing could be exactly the reason to hate them. They weren't just fooled. They wanted sociopaths in power, because they made them feel good about themselves. They are willfully ignorant -and still remain this way. But people voting for Democrats are no better either. They would have had time enough to do their duty, yet they sign on blank checks after blank checks to the chimp in chief.

The Bush Election Numbers Are in Doubt

Thanks for you support. America needs all the friends she can get. Doubt allow the 2000 and 2004 election results be the basis for judging the American people. In reality more people voted for Al Gore in 2000 than George Bush. However, we have a system call the electoral college ( which most of us don't understand) the gave George Bush the 2000 victory. Again in 2004, there were highly questionable election results and Bush was re-elected. If you find fault in anything let it be that such a small percentage of eligible voters actually voted in either election. Hopefully, now they have learned their lesson.

Wrong - That was the Supreme

Wrong - That was the Supreme Court who put him in office. It’s unfortunate that the people who speak out the loudest are sometimes the least knowledgeable. Also note that many manifestations of ‘hate’ are considered crimes in a civilized nation.

The fiat US dollar!

I can hardly wait for the USD to collapse in this country. (USA)

Which by the way will finally put an end to the war in Iraq, the Federal Reserve, and the Bush Crime Cartel.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The stench from Washington DC (District of Criminals) is starting to reach us here in the state of Wisconsin USA

the next meeting of the ptb

the next meeting of the ptb is towards the end of august...
there are protests planned but the area will be road blocked by a radius of 25 kilometers...and protected by american soldiers...
If the north american union and the security and prosperity partnership are ratified then i see little hope of going back...
There is nothing secure or prosperous about the SPP.
It allows for the U.S. military to be called in in the event of any unrest on the part of canadians........protesting etc.
already there have been occasions where canadian citizens have been illegally searched in B.C. by texas rangers and coralled by the u.s. military at a perfectly legal protest last month...
The same will apply to Canadian soldiers on american soil...
Unless a miracle happens the landscapes of both our countries are about to change dramatically...
Our charter of rights and freedoms with be "just another godamn piece of paper..."
Our canadian dollar is climbing and will soon be on par with the american dollar...making the amero easier to swallow...
the whole thing stinks....
Our children...mine and yours will be nothing more than slaves....
If they make the cut that is....

Photo Essay: Why I hate Bush But Love Americans

I agree with Sonny Johnson. I think we're due for another contrived disaster here in the U.S. so Bush and Cheney can declare martial law and stay in the White House indefinitely. It would also be a great excuse to attack Iran, where Bush and Cheney and the neo-cons will undoubtedly point the finger of blame.
Incidentally, the citizens of the U.S. didn't elect, nor re-elect Bush in the first place. We were screwed in the states of Florida and Ohio. Bush's opponents won in both cases, albeit by a narrow margin. The Republicans cheated and lied to the American people. That most of the whole world and most of the people of the U.S. believe that Bush and Cheney were actually elected shows the effectiveness of their propaganda and lies.

Prophetic words

Absolutely, why would some freak like Bush with 22% approval rating and one step from removal continually keep heaping "executive orders" all last yr and this yr to ADD more succession powers to the ones that are open and shut within the constitution? Ever since the mid terms too, because he would rather die than share power any power with a Democrat, he was little back stabbing prick for his Father and Jim Baker and never really got over their removal in 1992 and laid in waiting to retake the presidency for his sick family of oil speculators...he is a disease and not human, right on, JOHN

Just maybe

Just maybe that's the percentage of the one's who voted.

bush

Bush got elected by the Supreme court, not he American people. Additionally, Ralph Nader skewed the results towards Bush. 30-35 % of the people are fundamentalist Christian and will support the candidate that supports anti-abortion, anti gay relationships, control of the media.

Keeping this in mind, with the low turn outs in US elections one can see the results, disaster.

The US has been a good force for a long time, now because of this, the world hates the United State. But please do not hate the 75% who are now against the war and want to end it.

But please do not hate the

But please do not hate the 75% who are now against the war and want to end it.
Tell that to the hundreds of thousands who are now too dead to hate you for being so short sighted before you changed your mind.

50.7%

50.7% of the votes 'counted' were for Bush.
Far less than that actually voted for him.
There was wide spread voter suppression, vote fraud and other nasty tricks by Bush's political machine. Our 'free' press has abandoned us.

"It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes," Joseph Stalin

If Bush stays in office one day longer than expected, can I come live with you?

Do you have any specific

Do you have any specific information regarding voter suppression and vote fraud? I'd love to know how you came to these conclusions.
Hopefully it's not just because you heard other people say the same things...and now you repeat them.
Don't confuse the issue with fact!

Specific Information

Do you have specific information to support your claims? Do you get your information from the media? Because they're sure to give you the straight dope.

Are you fucking Kidding?

Are you seriously questioning the vote fraud in this country?

JFC OK Here we go.
First off, check out salon.com's

After a total recount __EVEN COUNTING NADER__ (people who think he's a spoiler are drinking the conservative kool-aid weather they know it or not)Al Gore won with 115,000 or so votes In Florida.

e-mail me if you have any questions.

Also, in "Freedom to fascism" (great documentary by Aaron Russo) one of the programmers of the Electronic Voting Machines says that there are lines of code in the software that allow for specific vote fixing. Asked in his congressional testimony how he knew they were there, he replied; Because I put them there.

How about testimony

There was of course the testimony of Clinton Curtis, a programmer who was asked to write software to control the vote of touch screen voting machines. His employer was Republican Congressman Tom Feeney.

Drop Clinton Curtis into Google and you can see the video of his testimony, under oath, to the Florida Congressional Committee.

It doesn't take a conspiracy, just a guy with access.

Agreed. And might I add

Agreed. And might I add beautifully put.
When I think of a government suppressing freedom, Sweden makes a good example. Tax rates on individuals can be as high as 60% (one of the heaviest tax burdens in the world). In fact, government expenditures have equaled 56.7% of GDP. And the Swedish government put in place prohibitive labor regulations that ensure high unemployment rates and contribute to an overall failure to generate new jobs.
Stop focusing on America and look in the mirror.
Swedes, you live in a suppressive regime.

Speak for yourself- I live

Speak for yourself- I live in Minnesota.

Maybe you don't - Others do.

Actually, there are many Americans who care what the world thinks about them.

Only the self righteous and ignorant among the American population still have the post coldwar mentality that America is the greatest nation in the world.

If you're one of those people who thinks you don't have to be concerned about what the rest of the world sees you as.. then I suggest you take a good hard look at what's really going on and what privacies have been infringed upon and what rights you truly have left. Because as it stands right now... Big Brother is watching. You're blind or part of the problem if you think otherwise.

Pal, with your head stuck so

Pal, with your head stuck so far up your ass, no one cares what you think about anything. Don't you try for a second to speak for all the American people. That's totally un-American. Are you some kind of fascist? In the America I come from people are free to say what they want. If you don't think people are justified in being pissed off at being lied to and having murder comitted in their name, then why the fuck are you sitting at a laptop? Go sign up to get killed in the sandbox and put your ass where you big mouth is.

how can people still stand for for bush and not appoligize?

cerebral rectumingitis is the clear answer.

How about this:

How about not trying to speak for 300,000,000 individuals you don't know, you stupid fucking collectivist. I live in the boundaries of the legal fiction that is the United States and I cared very deeply about what this individual had to say.

So fuck off with your quaint notions and stop speaking for people you don't know you fucking jerk off piece of shit.

Anonymous

@Anonymous - doesn't your response pretty much sum up the problem here?

Yes, even Republicans agree that he sucks

I'm a conservative American, and yes, I voted for Bush in 04, but it was ONLY because I was choosing the lesser of two evils. Kerry, had he become President, would have absolutely killed our economy with taxes and bigger, more invasive government, and would have left the Middle East in shambles by cutting-and-running from Iraq. There are many of us Republicans who can't wait to see Bush leave the Oval Office, so it's ridiculous to lump us all together as mindless lemmings who only vote the party line. Give me a Democrat who will be a strong Commander in Chief, limit the growth of government, and uphold the Constitution, and I'll vote for them in a second. Unfortunately, the Democratic party hasn't had a candidate who even comes close to that since JFK.

To all you moonbats who love to hypothesize about conspiracies behind 9/11, and plans to manufacture another similar tragedy, you have about as much credibility as those whackos from the 70s who swore they saw Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, or UFOs, and who believe the entire federal government had a hand in JFK's assassination and have been able to keep it a secret for the past forty years. If you want to make a convincing argument, then back it up with facts. Otherwise, please give it a rest. You'll add years to your own life if you can just calm down a bit and think rationally, I promise.

Bush is not dumb like some others are, get a clue

Can You read?
Can You understand?
Can You make a real difference?
Can You Learn?
Can You be happy?

Can You even remember the terrible Carter years? Talk about dumb...
I am so glad that We have President Bush as our Elected leader. I feel it is more important to stand ready with people who are not big cowards and to do the right thing, like kill terrorists, than to carry around a sick sign that is so for from real truth and any obvious facts just to show ones own displeasure. What about the good 'ole saying " Think not on what your country can do for you, but only on what you can do for your country." Now put down all those put downs and get up and be proud for a change. Stop the hate and go make someone feel better. Remember that having a passion for helping people and a strong belief in something bigger than yourself is a good and powerful thing.
So get off your butt and stand up, stop sitting around, put down the remote, get out for a change so you can make good things happen.

Enjoy
